Contact Us

We are a small independent team maintaining this site from Sri Lanka. The fastest way to reach us is email, and the message we most want to receive is a rate correction — if a figure here does not match what your bank is offering, telling us is the single most useful thing you can do for everyone else using the site.

Reporting a rate that looks wrong

Rates move without notice and banks do not always update their published schedules at the same time they change what branches offer. If a figure here is stale, we would rather hear about it twice than not at all. To let us verify it quickly, include whatever of the following you have:

  • The bank and the tenure — for example, “Sampath, 12 months”
  • The rate you were quoted, and the rate shown on our page
  • Where the figure came from — the bank's website, a branch visit, a call centre, or a printed rate notice
  • The date you were quoted it

We check every report against the bank's own published source before changing anything, because a single unverified correction can do more damage than a stale figure. If we confirm your report, we update the data and the change appears on the site with a new “last updated” date. If we cannot confirm it, we will tell you what we found rather than quietly dropping it. Our data methodology page describes the verification process in full.

What to expect, and when

  • Rate corrections are our priority. We aim to investigate within one business day and correct confirmed errors as soon as we have verified them against an official source.
  • Everything else — suggestions, questions, requests to cover a new bank — usually gets a reply within a few business days. We read every message.
  • Privacy requests about data we hold on you are handled under our privacy policy.

Rate data currently shown on the site was last updated on 2026-09-01.

What we cannot help with

We want to be straightforward about the limits of what this site is, because writing to us about the following will only cost you time:

  • We cannot open, renew, or break a fixed deposit for you. We are not a bank, a broker, or an agent of any institution listed here. Every deposit is opened directly with the bank.
  • We cannot access your account or answer questions about a specific deposit you hold. Only your bank can do that. Please never send us account numbers, NIC numbers, passwords, OTPs, or card details — we have no use for them and no way to act on them.
  • We cannot give personal financial or tax advice. We publish general information and comparison data. For advice on your own circumstances, speak to a qualified financial advisor or, for tax, the Inland Revenue Department.
  • We do not accept paid placements. Requests to feature a bank, improve its ranking, or publish sponsored posts are declined. Rankings are determined by interest rate alone.

If you think you have found a scam

We are not a regulator and cannot investigate or shut down an investment scheme. If you have been approached by a company promising returns far above what licensed banks offer, report it to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka rather than to us — their hotline is 011-2477000. Our safe investing guide explains the warning signs and how to check whether an institution is actually licensed. You are welcome to write to us as well, and if something is circulating widely we will cover it, but the Central Bank is the body that can act.
